Our Story
A former engineer with a family legacy in the footwear business, Mr. Weiwei Jian founded Unimex in 2009 in his home garage in Northern Virginia, where he started the business with a passion for creating better boots for service men and women.
Currently based in Sterling, Virginia, Unimex Corporation provides product sourcing, manufacturing, storage, distribution and sales services to governments, businesses and individual consumers. We believe in only sourcing and supplying quality products at cost-effective prices that will benefit our customers and their supply chain management.
Over the years, we envisioned that our footwear expertise and personalized solutions could be applied to a broader spectrum of products and services, thus bringing value to a wider base of customers. As a result, Unimex has consistently expanded, now offering footwear, apparel, PPE, tactical equipment, and spare parts for the public safety and defense industries.

In 2016 we were awarded our first major DoD contract to supply head-to-toe uniforms to a large agency, which afforded Unimex the valuable opportunity of gaining extensive expertise in various product sourcing, vendor relationship management and servicing the unique needs of a government agency. It also became a stepping-stone for more opportunities with the defense sector: in late 2019 we were awarded our first sizable DLA contract, furthering Unimex’s expansion and reach in the realm of supply chain management for the government and beyond.
